Latisha’s House Donation Drive
Williamsburg, VA, September 2026 – The Williamsburg Area Association of REALTORS® (WAAR) and its members came together in support of the Latisha’s House Donation Drive. Free Forever - Latisha’s House Foundation provides a long-term, transitional housing program for adult, female survivors of sex trafficking and offers individualized support to empower them to build a bridge from their traumatic past to a positive future.
Initiated by the WAAR Outreach Committee in June-July of 2026, the donation drive collected everyday essentials to help women who are rebuilding their lives:
• More than 1,000 kitchen and cutlery items
• Supplies for more than 500 loads of laundry
• 9 gallons of cleaning supplies
• More than 100 bath and hand towels
• 18 Welcome Home Kits
• 15 bedding sets
• 6 queen/king-size comforters
• 40 pairs of shoes
These may seem like simple, everyday necessities, but for someone starting over, having clean bedding, towels, kitchen supplies, clothing and household essentials can make a meaningful difference in creating a safe and comfortable home.
The Latisha’s House Donation Drive is just one example of the ongoing community outreach efforts supported by Williamsburg REALTORS®. Through its Member & Community Engagement Committee, the association regularly brings REALTORS®, WAAR Business Partners, and community organizations together for volunteer opportunities, charitable initiatives, fundraisers, and community revitalization projects.
These efforts reflect a broader commitment by Williamsburg REALTORS® to give back to the Greater Williamsburg Area community. Community service is also part of the REALTOR® tradition: for over 100 years, the REALTOR® Code of Ethics has emphasized not only honesty, integrity and professionalism, but also community service.
