Holidaze Drive

This year’s Holidaze Drive is to support WJCC homeless or precariously housed students and disadvantaged families by donating gifts for WJCC’s public schools. Over 160 gifts were donated by REALTOR® members. WAY TO GO! A special thank you to all who participated!

REALTORS® Give Back

WAAR Outreach Committee Chair Amy Davies delivered over $300 in snack items, and over 130 computer accessories to Upper York Schools staff members. These items were chosen based on their needs, to benefit homeless and precariously housed students!

REALTORS® Give Back

Janet Moore and Amy Davies, of the WAAR Outreach Committee, in support of the McKinney Vento Homeless Assistance Act, presented Koren Virella, Liaison with WJCC schools, over $100 in snack items,
$400 in school supplies and $1,000 in gift cards.
The items were purchased with proceeds donated at Williamsburg Jewelers “Charity Table” during the month of September and
will directly benefit the homeless/precariously housed students in WJCC schools.
A BIG “Thank You” to all who participated!

September Community Outreach

During the month of September WAAR’s Outreach Committee had the Charity Table at Williamsburg Jewelers. We  thank Michael Fagan, owner, for the use of his “charity table” to accept donations during the month of September that will directly benefit local homeless and precariously housed students.

Community Days at WJCC’s

The WAAR Outreach Committee would like to say thank you to the volunteers who came out Tuesday and Thursday to help with the Community Days at WJCC’s Summer Camp Programs.
Thank you (From left to right) Shawn Hill, Marie Hill, Nicoleta Williams, Amy Davies, Glenda May, Elizabeth Walthall, Mike Gleason, John Otey, and Angelica Galvez. Because of these amazing volunteers we were able to provide the kids with lunch and lots of fun activities!

Summer Fun Toy Drive

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Summer Fun Toy Drive. The response was tremendous and we can’t wait to give all these toys to Williamsburg-James City County Public Schools homeless and precariously housed students. Also, thank you to our Community Outreach Committee members for all the hard work they put into this drive!

Mckinney Vento Summer Camp Program

Amy Davies, WAAR Outreach Committee Chair, presented towels, water bottles, and $400 for swimsuits to Koren Virella, the homeless student liaison for Williamsburg James City County Schools. These items will go to directly support the Mckinney Vento Summer Camp Program.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our 50/50 raffle in May. Proceeds from that fundraiser were used to purchase these items.
Also, a big thank you to Alex Olague of Prosper Insurance and Janet Moore of Berkshire Hathaway TowneRealty for each donating ten towels individually!

Cinco de Mayo Community Outreach

Thank you to everyone who played!
Because of YOU, a total of $479 was collected – 50% of the proceeds going towards helping our local homeless and precariously housed students and 50% going to the winner.

Gift Cards Drive

Thanks to our REALTOR® and Affiliate members who donated gift cards to benefit homeless and precariously housed students in WJCC and Upper York County schools. A total of $2,180 was raised and presented to the homeless student liaisons for our local school systems.
A special thank you to the members of the Association’s Outreach Committee for their efforts in making this a successful and rewarding project.!
