REALTOR® Emeritus
REALTOR® Emeritus is an honorary status recognizing long-term dedication and service to the National Association of REALTORS®. Eligible members whose applications are approved receive a permanent dues waiver of the NAR portion of your board dues and are exempt from the Code of Ethics and Fair Housing training requirement.
40 years of REALTOR® membership
1 year of National service
Completed App by the local Association
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for REALTOR® Emeritus status, members must meet both of the following:
- 40 cumulative years of membership as a REALTOR® or REALTOR-ASSOCIATE® (or both)
- 1 year of service at the national level, including roles such as:
Committee Member
Officer or Director
Federal Political Coordinator
Global Ambassador or Global Coordinator to a country with an NAR bilateral partnership
How to Apply
- The application must be submitted by the member’s local association.
- Include documentation verifying 40 years of membership and 1 year of NAR-level service.
- Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
- Upon approval by NAR’s Board of Directors, the dues waiver takes effect the following dues year.
