Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service is proud to uphold its annual tradition of contributing 50% of fines to a charitable cause selected by the Board. Fred Smith and Tia Stanley had the honor of meeting with Donna Tighe, Director of Virginia Peninsula Foodbank , on October 23rd, 2023 to present a generous donation of $7,000 in support of their Backpack Program.

The program’s mission is to break the cycle of hunger and food insecurity for children in low-income communities by providing nutritious healthy foods that are easily portable and can be consumed at their homes over weekends and during extended holidays throughout the year.

During the school year, with the generosity of the community, Virginia Peninsula Foodbank is purchasing food to provide up to 1,500 food bags a week during the school year and up to 500 food bags per week during the summer months.

We are deeply committed to making a positive impact on our community and are grateful for the opportunity to support the essential work of organizations like Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.
