Join the WAAR Outreach Workgroup on an initiative to fight hunger at the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank. Please, click the button below to choose a date and a job that speaks to your heart, and get ready for some exciting action. Here are the awesome volunteer jobs up for grabs:

Produce Bagging: help with food packing for distribution in the community.

Box Packing: volunteers will work as a team in an assembly-line fashion; each volunteer will be assigned a task to assist in the preparation of food boxes. Volunteers should wear clothing that is conducive to a warehouse environment, including close-toed shoes.

Senior Home Distribution – it’s a mobile pantry! Be prepared for the following:  

• Inclement weather that includes cold winds, hot sunrays, cloudiness, rain and light snow;
• Walking back & forth across large parking lots;
• Maneuvering around and between moving cars; and
• Social interaction with Neighbors.

We kindly request donations of food and canned goods. Donations can be dropped off at the WAAR office by December 5th.
