Williamsburg REALTORS ® Welcomes New Leadership

At the end of every fiscal year, the Williamsburg Area Association of REALTORS® (WAAR) elects new Presidents, to lead the REALTOR® non-profit trade organization and the Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service (WMLS). On November 1, 2025, Alison Sakimura began her term as the 2026 WAAR President and Jennifer Mitchell began her term as the 2026 WMLS President.

Alison Sakimura, the 2026 President of the Williamsburg Area Association of REALTORS®, brings a depth of experience, service, and community commitment to her leadership role. For Alison, real estate extends far beyond a profession—it reflects a long-standing dedication to helping individuals and families find a place they are proud to call home.

Alison’s understanding of the challenges faced by homebuyers and relocating families is shaped by her own background. Having moved 13 times and lived in six states during her family’s military journey, she offers unique insight into the emotional and logistical aspects of transition. Now firmly rooted in Virginia, a place she considers her favorite home, she is honored to contribute to the community that has become central to her personal and professional life.

Her leadership is reinforced by significant professional recognition. Alison has been named a 2025 Virginia Living Magazine Top Real Estate All-Star, a 2025 Top Agent in Coastal Virginia, and one of Long & Foster’s Top 100 REALTORS® in 2021. She has completed the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Department Citizens Academy (2024) and graduated from the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce LEAD Class of 2023.

As she steps into the presidency for 2026, Alison Sakimura looks forward to supporting the newly installed Board of Directors, strengthening member engagement, and advancing initiatives that foster professionalism and collaboration across the real estate community.
