Last Year, Williamsburg Multiple Listing Service generously contributed $7,000 to the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank in support of their Backpack Program. With this support from WMLS, they were able to distribute almost 10.4 million meals. 50,221 Food for Kids Backpack program bags were delivered to 35 schools across our community to include five in Williamsburg/James City County.

This summer they have been providing up to 900 breakfast and lunch meals during the weekday for kids who attended summer camps, church programs and YMCAs. This program will conclude in a couple of weeks when the kids go back to school. Starting in September, the Kids Backpack program will begin which extends through May providing food bags for the kids to take home with them on the weekends.
